France is such as family friendly country, with lots of popular holiday resorts. Many head to the coast for beach holidays - Brittany in the north is great of quiet coves, great for young children. The west coast has wide open beaches, great for surfing, and the south coast has all the French chic of St Tropez etc. Great for all the family.
