Terms and Conditions for Use of France For Families

Welcome to France For Families, a platform where property owners and property agents can advertise properties located in France. These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of our website and services. By using our platform, you agree to abide by these terms.

In these provisions, the following words have the meanings shown, unless context otherwise requires:

“France For Families” means France For Families Ltd

“Advertisers” means Property owners or Property agents

“Persons” means all Users of this site either prospective guest, guest, owners, agents and any other person who chooses to visit and use the France For Families website.

1. Introduction
1.1 France For Families operates as an online platform enabling property owners and property agents to advertise properties in France.
1.2 All property enquiries, bookings, and payments are handled directly between the property owner or property agent and the prospective guest.
1.3 Property owners and property agents are collectively referred to as “Advertisers” in these Terms and Conditions.

2. Service Description
2.1 France For Families provides a platform that allows Advertisers (property owners and property agents) to list and advertise their properties in France.
2.2 France For Families does not act as a booking agent, intermediary, or party to any transactions. All dealings, including enquiries, bookings, and payments, are between the Advertiser and the guest directly.
2.3 Advertisers are responsible for managing their listings, availability, pricing, and communication with prospective guests.

3. Registration and Account Management
3.1 To list a property on France For Families Advertisers must create an account and provide proof of ownership or proof of agency management of a property. In addition, all advertisers must supply their SIRET number.
3.2 Advertisers agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during the registration process and to keep their details updated.
3.3 Advertisers must update their advert on France For Families if there are any changes to the property listing, availability, pricing, or other material information.

3.4 All advertisers are responsible for understanding and complying with any laws, rules, regulations and contracts in relation to renting property for holiday rentals in France. Some areas of France have zoning or other laws that restrict short term rental of residential properties, or require registration/permits/DPE certificates. All advertisers confirm that they have checked their local rules. 4. Property Listings
4.1 Advertisers are responsible for creating and maintaining accurate listings for their properties, including descriptions, photographs, pricing, availability, and any other relevant information. Advertisers agree to respond to enquiries within 48 hrs.
4.2 Advertisers must ensure that the properties listed comply with  all applicable laws and regulations in France, including but not limited to zoning, health, safety, and rental laws.

4.3 Advertisers are not permitted to change the displayed advert to show a different property mid-advertising without prior consent from France For Families.

4.4 France For Families reserves the right to remove any listings that are deemed inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of applicable laws or these Terms and Conditions.

4.5 France For Families reserves the right to determine the final design, layout and functionality of the website. France For Families reserves the right, at its discretion to edit copy or amend layouts or photographs should we consider it necessary. France For Families does not accept liability for any loss or damage resulting from the design or positioning of the advertisements or changes to the copy or photographs submitted by the advertiser or for errors or omissions. 4.6 France For Families reserves the right to refuse hypertext links to, or addresses of, other web sites from advertisers’ pages, if not within the package purchased by the advertiser or if not deemed appropriate and to remove links or web addresses without notice at its sole discretion.

4.7  Each advertisement displays one unit for rental only. If a property has more than one unit on the same site, then additional advertisements are required to be purchased.

5. Use of the Platform
5.1 Advertisers agree to use the platform in a lawful manner and to comply with all applicable regulations.
5.2 Advertisers shall not use the platform to post any fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content.
5.3 Advertisers agree not to engage in any actions that could disrupt or interfere with the functioning of France For Families or other users’ ability to use the platform.

5.4 Persons using this site agree that this site is not a booking platform and that France For Families is not an intermediary or party to any transaction between advertiser and potential guest, guest or any person.

5.5 Persons using this Site may contact any of the advertisers for the solepurpose of making personal enquiries about renting their property. It is strictly prohibited to make contact for any other reason, commercial or otherwise.

5.6 France For Families reserve the right to promote properties advertising on this site elsewhere, including but not limited to, other websites, social media sites and media publications.

6. Booking Process
6.1 All enquiries, bookings, and transactions are conducted directly between the Advertiser and the guest. France For Families does not participate in the booking process or any related transactions.
6.2 Advertisers must ensure that their booking terms, including pricing, availability, and conditions (such as cancellation and deposit policies), are clearly communicated to guests.
6.3 Any issues arising from bookings, including disputes, cancellations, or payment problems, are the sole responsibility of the Advertiser and the guest.

7. Payment and Fees
7.1 France For Families charges a fee to Advertisers for listing properties on the platform. The fee structure is outlined during the registration process. The contracted advertising period will be deemed to have commenced from the date payment is received.
7.2 All payments for bookings are processed directly between the Advertiser and the guest, and France For Families is not involved in payment transactions.

 7.3 Advertisers are solely responsible for any taxes, fees, or other charges associated with their properties, including income tax, VAT, or any other applicable charges in France or the UK.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy
8.1 Advertisers are responsible for setting their own cancellation and refund policies.
8.2 Advertisers must communicate their cancellation and refund policies clearly to guests during the booking process.
8.3 Any disputes regarding cancellations, refunds, or other booking terms must be resolved directly between the Advertiser and the guest.

9. Liability
9.1 France For Families makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of property listings. The property owners or their agents supply
the property information. France For Families do not inspect the properties ourselves to confirm the accuracy of any given information. 
9.2 France For Families is not liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from the use of the platform, including any transactions between Advertisers and guests.

9.3 France For Families does not warrant that the operation of the website will be uninterrupted or error free. In no event will France For Families be liable to the advertiser for any direct or indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of goodwill or damage, however caused, or sustained.
9.4 Advertisers are solely responsible for the content of their listings and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in France.
9.5 Advertisers agree to indemnify and hold France For Families harmless from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from their use of the platform or any transactions with guests.

10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1 By using France For Families, Advertisers and guests agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how personal data is collected, used, and protected.
10.2 Advertisers are responsible for handling personal data of guests in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.
10.3 Advertisers must ensure that any data shared with France For Families is accurate, up to date, and protected.

11. Copyright

11.1 It is the advertiser’s responsibility to obtain reproduction permission for all photographic and other material used in their advertisements. The advertiser warrants that they are the owner of the copyright in such material or are authorised by the owner thereof to grant to France For Families the rights therein contained.

11.2 The advertiser indemnifies France For Families against any action brought for breach of copyright from the use of such material supplied by the advertiser.

11.3 France For Families shall be entitled to reproduce part or whole of any photographic material supplied by the advertiser. France For Families cannot be held responsible for any infringement of copyright laws resulting from material supplied by the advertisers.

12 Termination
12.1 Advertisers may terminate their account at any time by notifying France For Families in writing but no refunds will be payable.
12.2 France For Families reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account for violation of these Terms and Conditions, including failure to comply with applicable laws or the terms of the platform.

12.3 France For Families reserves the right to withdraw any advertisement (completely or in part) from the site at any time and without prior notice if we believe the advert to be unsuitable for continued inclusion on the Site (for example, if complaints are received regarding a advertisement, a question arises over ownership or copyright infringement). In the event that the Company decides to remove the advertisement, a refund may be payable on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of the contract period at the discretion of the Company.

12.4 Upon termination, all property listings will be removed from the platform, and Advertisers will no longer have access to the website’s services.

13. Governing Law
13.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
13.2Notwithstanding the jurisdiction of where advertisers or users are based, any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

14. Amendments
14.1 France For Families reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
14.2 All amendments will be posted on the website, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
