Loire Gites, La Roultiere is a former working farmstead with a traditional longiere (which houses four gites) and the largest barn in the vicinity, which now houses two gites. Each gite is decorated in a way to help you unwind; their pale walls and uncluttered ambiance helps evoke a sense of calm and relaxation. We have sourced a lot of the furniture from local brocantes and lots of our guests comment on their quirky appearance… adding lots of character and warm rustic charm.
We now have a heated pool (in season). Our bike hire is also FREE in peak and high season 40 + available. Other features include boules pitch, tennis court, table tennis, pool table, table football, badminton nets and basketball hoops.
The Gites can be rented as a whole throughout the year or individually in July and August.
A boules pitch forms the center in an evening with bbq’s and tables available.
Accommodation
La Grange (sleeps 8/9)
La Grange is part of the original grain/hay store for the village, now offered as a four bedroom gite sleeping 8/9 people. The accommodation comprises of large fully equipped french farmhouse style kitchen with a living/seating area featuring a wood burning stove. The living area features a TV with UK Satallite channels, a downstairs cloakroom and W/C. The utility room features a microwave, washing machine and freezer.
On the upper floors, the 1st floor features 2 double bedrooms and a family bathroom c/w bath and separate shower. The 2nd floor features another double bedroom with ensuite and a bedroom with three single beds. There are three terraces one of which is covered leading onto gardens and the grounds of La Roultiere.
La Fermette (sleeps 6/7)
La Fermette is the oldest part of the longiere at La Roultiere. With a superking or twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower over bath) a double room and a further twin bedroom, La Fermette is ideal for the larger, or extended family. A further shower room with toilet and basin stops and morning queues!
There is a very large farmhouse style kitchen (fully equipped inc. microwave) with an open plan dining and living area with open fireplace and English satillite tv and wi fi . Logs can be purchased for heating for spring and autumnal breaks. A seating area in front of the gite gives views over the grounds of La Roultiere – and prime position for the Boules pitch! To the rear of the property there is a secluded covered outdoor lounge area, and also a dining gazebo with barbeque and garden furniture in the back garden, over looking the fields to the west.
La Fermette sleeps 6/7 including 1 superking or two singles with an ensuite bathroom. An additional double room, 1 twin with a travel cot and 1 family shower room.
L’Ecurie (sleeps 5)
L’Ecurie has often been described as the perfect summer house by many of our guests, for its simplicity allows you to sense the easy living of a summer holiday. L’Ecurie is a two bedroom (sleeping max 5) gite on three floors of our renovated barn. Bedroom one has beautiful views through a french window from the comfort of the super-king sized bed (perfect for morning coffee) and the large vaulted second bedroom (up another staricase) has three single beds. A travel cot can be provided if required. The vaulted bathroom with multi jet shower is on the first floor.
The light and airy living area with 2 sets of french windows comprises a fully equiped country kitchen, dining table and sofas also English satallite tv and wi fi all overlooking the Boules pitch. The gite also has its own huge decked terrace with garden furniture and a barbeque, which is covered by a gazebo to provide shade while you are eating.
Grenier (sleeps 5)
Grand Grenier is a spacious first floor gite, which sleeps 5 plus baby in 2 bedrooms. It used to be the hay loft! Its enormous living area has a fully fitted kitchen, including dishwasher. With dining table, a huge red sofa, and comfy armchairs and English satallite tv and wi fi, makes it feel easy to live in and a home from home. If it is extra living space you want from your holiday, Grand Grenier is the gite for you. WOW is usually the first reaction!
The double bedroom with kingsize bed and a second bedroom with 3 single beds makes this gite ideal for families. We consider it great for young families having no internal stairs and we have installed a bath as we know toddlers prefer bathing to a shower. There is a shower facility over the bath with glazed screen.
La Veranda (sleeps 7/8)
La Veranda is in the middle of the longier. With two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a super-king size “zip and link” bed (so could also be made up as singles) and two children bedrooms to the first floor this gite comfortable accommodates either two families or a larger family (sleeps 7/8 + cot).
There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and separate shower, the other with an shower. The generous living area to the ground floor has a large breakfast kitchen with dishwasher microwave fridge/freezer and a long table to seat everyone! The lounge area has ample comfortable sofas around a fireplace with English satallite tv and wi fi.
The entrance to the property is at the rear of La Roultiere under a large idyllic veranda covered in kiwi vines. Beautiful views and sunsets from here will help you relax, along with comfy sofas, barbeque and dining furniture.
To the outside a glorious west facing balcony is the perfect place to sip the local wine and watch the sun go down (whilst in earshot of the children tucked up in bed!). In the garden Grand Grenier has a vinecovered gazebo available for its guest’s exclusive use with garden furniture and barbeque.
La Terrasse (sleeps 4)
La Terrasse (sleeps 4 plus cot) is a cool, shady, ground floor gite, with a private terrace and covered veranda overlooking the boules pitch and fields. Its interlinking bedrooms make it ideal for young families, and its wet room style shower suite makes it ideal for those with mobility problems.
Its large sejour has a country style kitchen, dining furniture and comfortable sofas also there is English satallite tv and wi fi. A wood burning stove enables you to feel cosy if on a spring or autumnal break.
