Moulin de la Tour
Take a quick diversion to this 16th-century water mill in Sainte-Nathalène on the edge of the small Enéa river to purchase walnut, hazelnut and almond oils which are made in the traditional way.
Description: This working press used to do tours but now is just a small shop which occasionally does tasting days.Location: 8km east of Sarlat off the D47 in Ste Nathalène.General Info: Open every Friday, plus Mondays and Wednesdays in peak season. Tel. 05 53 59 22 08Our recommendations: Take a guided tour in English. You could easily combine this with a visit to the Gardens at Manoir d’Eyrignac. For the children: It’s a shop. They will be entertained until they realise it’s just salad and cooking oils! Here’s more information to make the most of your visit to the Dordogne:
