Bobie is a charming three-bedroom stone farmhouse set just 1.4km from the beautiful village of Duras in the northern Lot-et-Garonne, right in the heart of southwest France’s renowned wine and gastronomic region. Surrounded by rolling countryside, this peaceful holiday home offers a perfect setting for relaxation, while being just minutes from Duras’ vibrant weekly market, a variety of restaurants, local shops, and outdoor activities including walking, cycling, and tennis.
This characterful property is an ideal base for exploring the best of the region, whether you’re planning wine tasting tours in world-famous areas like Saint-Émilion or day trips to historic bastide towns such as Eymet, Monsegur, and Bergerac. The area is well known for its year-round daily markets, providing visitors with an authentic taste of French rural life.
Perched on a hillside, Bobie enjoys lovely views across the surrounding countryside. The nearby village of Duras is steeped in history and is home to a magnificent château, open to visitors and often used as a venue for concerts, exhibitions, and seasonal festivals. In summer, Duras comes alive with events including antiques fairs, the lively Thursday night market with live music and street food, and the annual wine festival. The festival is a local highlight, made unforgettable by the sight of Montgolfier hot air balloons soaring low over the village rooftops.

- Large well equipped dining kitchen with seating for 8 including a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, induction hob/electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and ironing facilities
- Leading from the kitchen is another room leading out to the pool area, which is home to a pool table, baby gate to pool area
- Large open plan lounge with comfortable seating for 8 leads out onto one of the terraces, with electrically operated shutter to shield the lounge from the sun when it gets hot
- French and UK TV, internet smart TV, DVD player, CD player, WiFi
- Bathroom with bath, massage shower and vanity unit
- WC
First floor
- 3 double air conditioned bedrooms, each with a double bed, wardrobe and vanity table and chairs, one also has bunk beds
- Spacious shower room with massage shower, vanity unit and separate WC
Outside
- Beautiful, peaceful landscaped gardens with plenty of shade when needed
- Secluded terrace with charcoal BBQ, covered terrace with large dining table, parasol and chairs, plenty of sunbeds and a paved pool area overlooking the fields and trees beyond – perfect for relaxing and enjoying a chilled glass of wine, or two!

Whilst the owners live at the other side of the property (separated by a large barn), they respect your privacy at all times, have their own drive and entrance and do not use the pool whilst you are in occupancy.
No pets allowed.
An extra set of clean bed linen and towels are available upon request at an additional charge – €15 for a single bed and €20 for a double bed (payable directly to the owner).
Cot, stair gate and high chair available upon request (please ask at the time of booking).
Saturday changeover, although flexible changeovers / 10 day rentals may be possible – please ask us.
